1.4429 is a kind of low carbon nitrogen controlled austenitic stainless steel. Due to the addition of the N element, 1.4429 stainless steel has significantly improved its strength while retaining good plasticity and toughness. 1.4429 stainless steel is equivalent to 316 steel, but has excellent intergranular corrosion resistance.
